Winery Elena Walch in Tramin is one of the defining names in South Tyrolean winemaking and stands for a clear sense of origin, elegance and uncompromising quality. As an architect, Elena Walch brought fresh ideas to a long-established winegrowing family and is regarded as a pioneer of the modern South Tyrolean wine style. Today, Julia and Karoline Walch continue to lead the family winery in its fifth generation, guided by a deep understanding of soils, microclimates and the unique character of each vineyard site.
Sustainable vineyard work, careful hand harvesting and precise vinification are at the heart of the winery’s philosophy. The single vineyards Vigna Castel Ringberg and Vigna Kastelaz in particular showcase the diversity of South Tyrol with remarkable depth and expression.
