This Lagrein Riserva Vigna Castel Ringberg from Elena Walch Winery comes from a precisely defined single vineyard above Lake Caldaro. The historic Renaissance estate of Castel Ringberg was built as early as 1620 and is surrounded by vineyards that grow at the intersection of Dolomite rock, ancient gravel and loose limestone debris.
In the glass, it displays a deep garnet-red color. On the nose, it reveals a fresh and fruity, multi-layered bouquet of red berries, cranberries, currants and cherries, accompanied by delicate tobacco notes and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, it impresses with velvety soft tannins, fresh spicy richness and youthful elegance. Its mineral-driven length and charming, structured finish make it an expressive Lagrein Riserva with excellent aging potential.
