Essenz der Alpen
With Essenz der Alpen, Johanna Jenewein has revived the ancient art of salt production in the Austrian Alps. Inspired by the untouched salt deposits and the centuries-old tradition from Hall in Tyrol, the brine is sourced from deep springs. Gentle heating in shallow pans creates delicate salt crystals, which are carefully skimmed by hand – resulting in a natural salt with a mild and distinctive flavor.
Whether pure or refined with herbs, stone pine cones or spices, each salt is meticulously processed and packaged in sustainable clay pots that can be reused. The labeling is done by hand and the packaging is completely plastic-free. The result is a product that perfectly combines natural quality and sustainability.
