This Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva Vigna Castel Ringberg from Elena Walch Winery comes from the highly acclaimed single vineyard above Lake Caldaro and is vinified only in particularly suitable vintages. The historic Renaissance estate of Castel Ringberg was built as early as 1620 and is surrounded by vineyards that grow at the intersection of Dolomite rock, ancient gravel and loose limestone debris.
In the glass, it displays a deep dark ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of forest berries, blackberries, bilberries and plums, accompanied by spicy notes of tobacco leaves, cloves and a touch of dark chocolate. On the palate, it impresses with powerful fruit richness, pronounced tannins, lively acidity and juicy length. Its finish shows plenty of grip, power and excellent aging potential.
