This Chardonnay Cardellino from Elena Walch Winery is a timeless classic and was the winery’s very first wine. According to an old tale, the goldfinch – the “Cardellino” – prefers to build its nest in Chardonnay vines, giving this elegant and characterful wine its name.
In the glass, it displays a deep straw-yellow color. On the nose, it reveals a complex interplay of fruity notes, citrus and orange peel, hints of linden blossom, mineral richness and a spicy touch of tobacco. On the palate, it surprises with vibrant freshness, mineral tension, elegance and juicy length. Its inviting, refreshing style makes it an especially versatile Chardonnay with excellent drinkability.
