The stone pine nuts give this stone pine liqueur a resinous, slightly piquant taste with the typical sweetness of a liqueur. For those who prefer it a bit stronger, we recommend this stone pine spirit.
This fine Tyrolean liqueur - often mistakenly referred to in the local dialect as stone pine schnapps - is a classic among forest specialties. In the production process, fresh, still juicy red stone pine cones are cut and crushed. These cones are then soaked in alcohol for five to six weeks. Careful maceration ensures that the freshly piquant aroma of the stone pine is preserved. The stone pine macerate is then filtered and sweetened slightly with natural honey. The result is a soothing stone pine liqueur with a subtly resinous, floral bouquet and a hint of walnut.
