This Swiss stone pine liqueur from Tyrol brings the unmistakable flavour of high-alpine stone pine into liquid form. Its distinctive, slightly resinous and lively character combines with the typical sweetness of a liqueur to create a harmonious forest speciality with delicate floral notes.
For its production, fresh stone pine cones that are still full of sap are cut, chopped and then macerated in alcohol for five to six weeks. This careful maceration process allows the characteristic, naturally resinous aromas of the stone pine to gently infuse into the alcohol while preserving their distinctive character.
After maceration, the extract is carefully filtered and refined with a small amount of natural bee honey. The result is a smooth and warming stone pine liqueur, often colloquially referred to as stone pine schnapps, with a slightly resinous, floral bouquet and a delicate hint of walnut on the finish.
