Jagatee is a typical Tyrolean speciality and is produced according to an old traditional recipe. The high-yield concentrate - also called "Jägertee" or "hunter's tea" - was originally drunk by forest workers, hunters and foresters in the Tyrolean mountains in the 19th century.
The hot drink concentrate is made from black tea, herbal extracts, Obstler and Inländer Rum. Today, according to the EU Directive, "Jagatee" is a product with a geographically protected indication and the name is only permitted for Jagatee produced in Austria. At the Kräuterdestillerie, the black tea extract is freshly prepared in-house. No wine is added to the Jagertee.
Attention: Never boil Jagertee - the aromas and herbal substances are lost in the process!
