This traditional Tyrolean Farmers’ Bitter is produced according to the original recipe of Tyrol’s herbal pioneer Gustl Amann at the herbal distillery. A carefully balanced selection of alpine herbs, roots and other natural ingredients gives this bitter its distinctive character.
Gentian root, sage leaves, angostura bark, St. John’s wort, green pepper, green walnuts, calamus root, hibiscus blossoms and many other ingredients are gently macerated and carefully blended together after an extended maturation period. The result is an intense herbal bitter with harmonious depth and a perfectly balanced spiciness.
Falstaff describes it as “powerful, bold and long-lasting” with an intense herbal aroma, creamy texture and subtle notes of citrus, mint and mocha. A true classic from the Alpine region – perfect for everyone who appreciates distinctive bitter specialties with character.
