This Vernatsch Merus from Tiefenbrunner Winery comes from South Tyrolean vineyard sites between 220 and 650 meters above sea level. The vines grow in areas including Penon, Entiklar and Brenntal on calcareous Dolomite soils, calcareous gravel soils of glacial moraine origin and red, sandy clay soils.
Thanks to its freshness, this Vernatsch is already highly enjoyable as a very young wine. On the nose, it reveals delicate fruit aromas of cherries, violets and bitter almonds. On the palate, it is harmonious and mild, with an elegant, juicy body and pleasant freshness on the finish. Vinification in concrete tanks and large oak casks highlights its clear varietal character and the natural elegance of the Merus line.

Tiefenbrunner Winery
Tiefenbrunner Winery in Entiklar is one of the most traditional family wineries in South Tyrol. Sabine and Christof Tiefenbrunner run the historic Castel Turmhof estate together with the next generation, combining long-established winemaking craftsmanship with a clear view toward the future. In vineyards ranging from 210 to 1,000 meters above sea level, expressive wines are created that reflect origin, family history and South Tyrolean terroir.
The grapes come from estate-owned vineyards in Entiklar, Cortaccia and Magrè as well as from long-standing partner growers. Careful handwork, sustainable cultivation and gentle processing form the basis for wines with a clear personality. In the cellar, each wine range is guided with precision and care, from the fresh Merus line to the age-worthy Turmhof, Linticlarus and Vigna selections. The result is precise, elegant wines with depth and expression.
