This Kalterersee Classico Superiore from Ritterhof Winery is a classic South Tyrolean red wine from the traditional growing area surrounding Lake Caldaro. The Vernatsch vines, some over 50 years old, grow in picturesque vineyards on warm, sandy gravel and moraine soils at elevations of around 300 to 450 meters above sea level.
In the glass, it displays a light ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of fresh bread, ripe cherries and a subtle hint of bitter almond. On the palate, it is fruity, elegant, fresh and balanced, with a light structure and lively drinkability. Its uncomplicated and harmonious character makes it the ideal wine for light dishes and social occasions.
