This Grauburgunder Ried Hoch Sernau from Domaine 1196 is a striking interpretation of its origin and the precise signature of Reinhard Muster. As a characterful single-vineyard wine, it combines structure, depth and elegance into a harmonious overall profile.
On the nose, it reveals a multi-layered bouquet with remarkable juicy extract, marked by notes of candied orange peel, dried pineapple and malty nuances. On the palate, it impresses with a perfect balance of ripe, integrated acidity, volume and fine tannins. A subtle saline spice and delicate toasted notes add depth and complexity, leading into a long, sensual finish.

Domaine 1196 Winery
The winery Domaine 1196 in Gamlitz combines centuries-old winemaking tradition with modern cellar technology. The name refers to the year 1196, the first documented mention of viticulture in the region, and reflects its deep roots in the Styrian terroir. This is where distinctive wines with a clear signature and strong character are created.
At the historic site of a former vineyard, a state-of-the-art cellar was built, uniting production, storage, and logistics under one roof. With a focus on precision and innovation, the wines are also given the freedom to develop naturally. The project was initiated by Siegfried Wolf and realized together with renowned figures such as Reinhard Muster and Albert Gesellmann. The result is wines defined by elegance and a clear Styrian identity.
