This DeSilva Sauvignon Blanc from Peter Sölva Winery comes from the DeSilva range, which stands for old, deep-rooted vineyards and wines with a strong sense of origin. The grapes grow in Appiano Monte at around 600 meters above sea level, where loamy, sandy and stony soils with good depth give the wine freshness, structure and mineral tension.
The 2024 vintage is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Depending on the vintage, part of the grapes is pressed as whole clusters, complemented by cold maceration, natural clarification and cool must stabilization. Aging takes place on the fine lees, mainly in large oak casks and to a smaller extent in stainless steel tanks. In the glass, it reveals intense, elegant aromas of elderflower, passion fruit, pineapple and other exotic fruits. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral and complex, with pleasant acidity and a long, elegant finish.

Winery Peter Sölva
Winery Peter Sölva in Caldaro is one of the oldest wine estates in South Tyrol, with a family winemaking tradition dating back to 1731. Surrounded by the vineyards of Lake Caldaro, the Überetsch region and the South Tyrolean lowlands, the estate produces wines with a strong sense of origin and a distinctive character. Tradition and innovation go hand in hand, while old vines, careful soil management and a respectful approach to nature form the foundation of authentic South Tyrolean quality.
The two wine collections, DeSilva and Amistar, each tell a unique chapter of the family’s story. DeSilva represents old, deep-rooted vineyards and wines that reflect the character of their terroir, while Amistar stands for carefully crafted cuvées with a special family heritage and distinctive style. In the cellar, patience plays a key role. Given the time they need to develop, the wines emerge with personality, depth and a remarkable sense of expression.
