The Schwarzenberger distillery has over 90 years of experience in distilling schnapps and is one of the few distilleries that still master and maintain the old knowledge of distilling local gentian roots. About 5 tons of roots are processed for about 200 litres of pure distillate. From the laborious cleaning to the mashing to the burning, the valuable roots are processed by hand in-house. The result is an extraordinarily rich gentian schnapps that is second to none.
