For more than 100 years the Tyrolean herb liquor distillery has been carefully selecting and sustainably reaping its raw materials. Small mountain farms supply the distillery. For some ingredients the production team itself makes its way into the mountains. Every year, the Tyrolean mountain juniper is gathered by the distillery’s own employees from the mountain pastures of Kematen.
The gin owes its particularly strong flavour and intensity to the high-alpine weather conditions. The southern slopes, where juniper grows, are exposed to extreme variations in temperature. During the day the sun beats down, raising the temperature to more than 40°C. At night there is often frost, even in summer.
These climatic conditions not only give juniper, gentian or masterwort their aromatic flavour; wild berries such as lingonberries and blueberries tend to have a particularly strong and intensive flavour in the Tyrolean mountains, as well.
Mountain juniper, wild berries and carefully selected mountain herbs make the Tyrolean Mountain Gin probably the best mountain gin in the world.
