For our spirit, the brown, thick and spindly roots of the plant are used. After careful cleaning the alcohol is added. Over many weeks the Masterwort Spirit releases its many ingredients and aromas. A process of maceration during which an aromatic tincture ripens is taking place. This tincture is then finally distilled. The result is a fine and unique-tasting spirit. The roots contain bitters, tanning agents, resin and cumin which create a tart, moderately earthy taste, aromatically spicy and pleasantly fresh at the same time.
