This high-quality hazelnut schnapps, as it is popularly known in South Tyrol, has its home at the traditional Roner distillery in Tramin. Following the traditional method, the hazelnuts are first roasted, then macerated in neutral alcohol and subsequently double-distilled. Only after one year of harmonisation in stainless steel tanks is the spirit bottled.
On the palate, this Roner hazelnut spirit impresses with delicate roasted aromas, a mild, complex nutty flavour and a long-lasting, harmonious finish. The fine balance of roasted notes and the characteristic taste of hazelnuts makes it highly enjoyable neat over ice, as well as an excellent accompaniment to desserts or chocolate.
