This apricot liqueur is a distinctive Tyrolean spirits speciality with a full, fruity flavour and a pleasantly subtle aroma. Only fully ripe, hand-picked apricots from South Tyrol are used in its production.
The carefully selected fruit is pressed into juice and then gently blended with high-quality alcohol and a small amount of sugar. This allows the apricot’s natural, full-bodied flavour to shine through beautifully.
The apricots used come from the Vinschgau Valley in South Tyrol, where they benefit from ideal growing conditions: plenty of warmth and sunshine, little rain, ample wind and loose, moderately fertile soils. These special conditions allow the fruit to thrive particularly well.
The term “Marille” is commonly used for “apricot” in Austria, South Tyrol and parts of Bavaria.
